1. Developer and scope

This privacy policy describes how Bytevar Volt, published under the Bytevar brand, handles data. For privacy questions and app support, contact varinvaelor@gmail.com.

2. Offline operation

Bytevar Volt performs calculations on your device. It has no app account, developer server, advertising, tracking, analytics or automatic crash-reporting service. The app does not send your calculations, saved records, usage history or settings to Bytevar. It does not request Internet access.

3. Data stored on your device

The app stores settings, preferred units, favorite tools, recently opened tools and local tool-use counts. When Remember last entered values is enabled, it also stores the most recent calculator inputs and unit selections. Calculations you explicitly save include their names, input values, units, results and save dates.

These records support the app features and remain in its private Android storage. Bytevar cannot access them remotely. Android's app storage protections and your device security protect this storage; the app does not add a separate password or encryption layer. Automatic Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are excluded by the app's backup configuration.

4. Copying, sharing and manual backups

Copying a result writes the selected text to the Android clipboard. Sharing a report opens Android's app chooser and passes the report to the app you select. Report text may contain the calculation name, inputs, units, results and save date. The receiving app handles that information under its own rules.

Export backup creates an .etb file at the location you choose through Android's file picker. It contains settings, favorites, recent tools, tool-use counts, remembered inputs when enabled and saved calculations. Import backup reads only the file you select and replaces local data after confirmation. The app does not scan unrelated files.

An .etb file is not encrypted or password protected. Anyone who can access the file can read its contents. If you select a cloud document provider or share with an online app, that provider may upload the selected data under its own privacy policy. These actions are initiated by you; Bytevar Volt does not automatically upload backups or reports.

5. Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you remove or replace them. In Settings, you can reset favorites, clear recent history and local tool-use counts, or clear saved inputs. Disabling Remember last entered values clears automatically remembered inputs but does not delete explicitly saved calculations. You can delete saved calculations in History > Saved calculations.

To remove all private app data, use Android's app storage settings to clear app data, or uninstall the app. Exported .etb files, clipboard contents and copies sent to other apps are separate: deleting app data does not delete them. Remove those copies using the relevant file, clipboard or receiving-app controls.

6. Permissions and third-party services

Bytevar Volt does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, messages or advertising identifier. Manual file access uses Android's file picker and your chosen document provider. The app includes no advertising or analytics SDK.

Google Play and Android may handle downloads, purchases, updates, security checks or diagnostics independently under their own settings and policies. Purchases through Google Play are handled by Google Play; Bytevar Volt does not receive your payment-card details. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Email support

If you choose to email varinvaelor@gmail.com, Bytevar receives your email address and the message or attachments you send. This correspondence is used to answer your request, investigate the reported issue and meet any applicable legal obligations. Do not include passwords, payment-card information or unrelated sensitive information.

Email is handled through Gmail under Google's privacy policy. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed for these purposes and applicable legal obligations. To ask about or request deletion of personal information you have sent in correspondence, contact the same email address. Bytevar cannot remotely delete records that exist only on your device or copies held by providers you selected.

8. Public policy website

Visiting the public privacy-policy website makes a request to its hosting service, which may handle connection data such as an IP address and access logs under its own policies. The policy pages add no advertising, analytics scripts or embedded third-party content. Reading the policy bundled in the app does not make a web request.

9. Policy changes

This policy may be updated if the app's data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. The current policy is available in Settings > About > Privacy policy and on the public privacy-policy page linked from the Google Play listing.
